Frequently Asked Questions

  • What items are NOT PERMITTED in the trash?

Bulky waste, construction debris, dirt, wood, metal, hazardous materials (wet paint, motor oils, cleaning fluids, etc), biohazardous/medical waste,  dead animals.

If you’re uncertain whether an item belongs in the trash can, it’s best to leave it out.

  • What if I need an extra pick-up or have bulk items that I need to get rid of?

Call the office at  732-988-2525 to discuss and make arrangements. Additional fees may apply.

  • What time does my can(s) have to be at the curb?

Although pickup times may differ, we recommend that customers place their bins out the night before their scheduled service day, or by 4 am on the day of collection to ensure service. It is also important to bag all trash to avoid litter being scattered by the wind.

  • How and Where do I place my can(s)?

Place your can so the wheels are against the curb or facing your home and the lid opens towards the street.

Keep at least a 3' clearance between your cans and nearby impediments such as mailboxes, vehicles, or streetlights. This clearance allows the mechanical arm of the waste collection vehicle to operate efficiently.
